DKB, short for “Dark Brown Eyes,” is a nine-member South Korean boyband under Brave Entertainment including members E-Chan, Teo, D1, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku, and Harry-June. Presented by Studio PAV, the Meet & Live US Tour began in New York with stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, and Los Angeles. The tour was the group’s first in the United States since their debut on February 3, 2020, which was highly anticipated due to them being the label’s first boy group.

The evening on June 14, the Center Stage was bustling with Atlanta BBs as they lined up in the sweltering heat. Fans who arrived early to receive their VVIP and VIP benefits were guided inside, and it wasn’t long until the venue was filled. The excitement and energy roared as soon as everyone was settled in, immediately hyping up the room chanting “DKB” and singing along to tracks such as “Rollercoaster” idly playing in the background.

As the stage lights dimmed blue and red and the first EDM-trap beats to their debut song “Sorry Mama” blazed through the speakers, Atlanta BBs cheered in excitement. As the boys performed with such rigorous and powerful energy, they immediately followed up with other upbeat tracks such as “Still,” “Rollercoaster,” “Work Hard,” and more.

Despite being inside and away from the hot outdoors, DKB set fire to the stage with their performance and brought the heat inside (literally). During a brief intermission to cool down, they took this time to share their appreciation for their fans’ support since their debut, “This is the first opportunity to meet you since we debuted in the past 2 years. How are you able to wait for us this long? We’ve only been able to interact through social media, but you have made our dream come true and thank you so much.”

The boys took this time to interact with Atlanta BBs. What started off as a crowd “wave” somehow transformed into an eccentric dance off where some of the members showed off their acrobatic skills by doing backflips and breakdance moves across the stage. A fun fact they shared was how some of the members took lessons to be able to achieve these moves. Such dedication!

As the rest of the members retreated to get changed, the lights transformed into a cool blue tone to set the atmosphere for “Take Care” performed by E-Chan, D1, Teo and GK. In a smooth transition to “Elevator” all the members come out in 90s grungy outfits styled in plaids, cut-off sleeve shirts and graphic prints. The lights bounce in blues, reds, and green hues  and the background displays vibrant abstract visualizers as they continue to perform bouncier, head-bopping tracks such as “Samsung” and “Sober.” The climax of the night came as the boys shared their dance performance to “First Class” by Jack Harlow. With powerful and complex moves and seamless synchronization, DKB carried their enigmatic energy throughout the whole show.

They are clearly talented artists and possess an implausible amount of energy, endurance and dedication to their work. Fans were unhappy to see them go, but many stayed behind for the snapshot perks where they had the opportunity to take one-on-one polaroid photos with individual members. Not only did the Atlanta BBs have a fantastic time, but DKB also appeared to have a memorable night, as they expressed their gratitude to fans numerous times. Their promise to return with new songs, choreography, and dance breaks, as well as the opportunity to meet more BBs, had fans eagerly anticipating for their next tour.
