The world’s largest virtual K-Culture festival, KCON:TACT, returns for its fifth season as KCON:TACT HI 5 and has announced the first group of artists to join the lineup.
KCON:TACT HI 5, named after a gesture of greeting and celebration, will be held from Saturday, September 18 to Sunday, September 26. CJ ENM has prepared a variety of programs through which global fans can interact and share their love of K-Pop with each other and with their favorite artists, despite not being physically together. This fifth season will take the fandom experience to the next level by increasing and strengthening the “personal talk” and “live chat” experiences with the artists, and by implementing more interactive elements that capture the hearts of K-Pop fans all over the world.
The first artist lineup of KCON:TACT HI 5 includes: BTOB, Ciipher, ENHYPEN, GHOST9, MAMAMOO, ONF, and PURPLE KISS.
BTOB, who appeared on Mnet’s ‘Kingdom: Legendary War’ and captivated fans around the world with their unique performance style, is set to perform at KCON:TACT HI 5. Many are excited to see what BTOB, one of the more veteran K-Pop groups in the lineup, will show to their fans.
Super rookie Ciipher, whose members have been dazzling fans with their refreshing and youthful charm, will be performing at KCON:TACT for the very first time. All eyes are on what performance Ciipher has planned for KCON:TACT, as they debuted with support and guidance from world-renowned industry seniors, RAIN and Lee Hyori.
Debuting through Mnet’s ‘I-LAND’ and winning various rookie awards, ENHYPEN was also named in the lineup. K-Pop fans are curious to see what type of performances ENHYPEN, who received the Gold Disc Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) with their Japanese debut single “Border: Hakanai,” will show this season.
GHOST9, a group that has released four albums in just nine months since its debut, will also be performing on the KCON:TACT stage. This constantly innovative group has already produced and performed various concepts, and its growing fanbase is excited to see what new concept GHOST9 will prepare for its latest KCON:TACT appearance.
As one of the most talented female K-Pop groups, MAMAMOO has cemented a reputation for producing perfect stage performances with their vocal and rap skills. Fans all over the world are eager to see another perfectly coordinated performance from MAMAMOO at KCON:TACT.
ONF garnered attention for its powerful performances on Mnet’s survival program ‘Road to Kingdom.’ After the release of the group’s refreshing new song “Popping,” many are anticipating their KCON:TACT performance.
The rookie group PURPLE KISS, who released their first mini album INTO VIOLET earlier this year, will be making their first KCON:TACT appearance at this upcoming event. PURPLE KISS is known having multitalented members that have not only vocal and dance skills, but also songwriting and self-choreographing capabilities. Thus, global K-Pop fans are looking forward to what type of performance PURPLE KISS will prepare for their first KCON:TACT appearance.
KCON:TACT HI 5, which has garnered increasing attention with the release of its first artist lineup, will be exclusively streamed on TVING in South Korea, and everyone else can stream the content on the KCON official and Mnet K-Pop YouTube channels.
